To get started with indoor plant decor, consider the style of your home and which areas could use some sprucing up. Hanging plants are ideal for adding visual appeal to high ceilings and tall spaces, while potted plants can liven up empty corners and tabletops.

If space is not an issue, consider plants like Areca palm, rubber plant, snake plant, Ficus, Philodendron, or yucca for corners, or place them in that empty space near the window.

  1. How Do You Water Indoor Plants?

The most crucial thing is to know your plant’s needs – does it require a lot of water or just a little? Is it a fan of high humidity or drought tolerant? Once you’ve figured that out, set up a consistent watering schedule that works for you (and your plants).

I set reminders on my phone to remind me of the watering schedule, which I would otherwise forget.

You can use a watering can, a spray bottle, or a watering system that distributes water evenly, depending on what you’re comfortable with.

If you are using the aquaponic system to water your house plants, you don’t need to worry about watering them. But, for all others, you can’t risk forgetting the schedule.

Remember, it’s better to underwater plants than overwater them, so make sure the soil is dry before you water again. Always check for the moisture content of the soil before watering the plants.

Even though I follow a watering schedule by setting reminders, I usually poke my finger into the dirt to check if it has gone dry before watering them. If it is still moist, I wait a couple more days before watering them.

  1. What Plants Are Best For Indoors?

Indoor plants are more than just a way to add greenery to your home; they’re also proven to boost your mood and productivity and even filter the air.

But with so many varieties out there, it can be overwhelming to choose the best plants for your living space. Lucky for you, there are a few standouts that thrive indoors and require minimal effort to maintain.

Cacti, bonsai, succulents, vines, crotons, and palms are a few of my suggestions. There are a plethora of options available in each of these plant types for you to choose from.

For example, consider the sturdy snake plant or the pretty spider plant for its air-purifying qualities, the trailing pothos for its impressive ability to survive low-light conditions, or the colorful African violet for a pop of bloom on your windowsill. Or a coleus for a sunny spot indoors.

With a little research and some love, you’ll have a thriving indoor garden in no time.

  1. What Are The Benefits Of Indoor Plants?

Indoor plants are said to be excellent air purifiers, allowing you to breathe cleaner, fresher air while being surrounded by nature.

If you’re looking for an eco-friendly way to reduce noise pollution, plants can absorb sound waves. They are also known to reduce the temperature of a room and create a cooling atmosphere.

Caring for plants is a great stress buster and improves overall well-being. They also help you concentrate better, making you more efficient at your studies or work.

As an avid gardener, I can confidently say that the joy of being surrounded by plants and caring for them is something you don’t want to miss.
